Preston Bissett Nursery & Country Shop is a family-run garden nursery and country shop on Bushey Lane in rural Buckinghamshire, close to Buckingham, Bicester, Milton Keynes and Oxford. The business began in 1984 when Peter sold cuttings and potted-on seedlings outside the family farm, and moved to its current location in 1989. Today it carries a remarkable selection of well grown plants, from big landscape trees and large structural shrubs to hedging, herbs, grasses, perennials, fruit trees and bushes, along with seasonal planted pots and hanging baskets. The country shop stocks homeware from well known design houses alongside pots, trellis and garden sundries. The Garden Tipi café serves locally baked cakes, breakfasts and light lunches with vegan options available, and dogs and cyclists are welcome. The tipi can also be hired for weddings and events. A professional garden design service operates from an on site design studio, and the nursery runs a programme of garden workshops and talks throughout the year covering topics such as willow weaving and photography. The Garden Club has over 14,000 members and a loyalty card scheme lets customers collect points on every purchase. Local and national delivery is available for many plants and products.
