About Lower Clopton Farm Shop

Lower Clopton Farm Shop is a family run business at the base of Meon Hill, seven miles south of Stratford-upon-Avon at the gateway to the Cotswolds. Richard and Suzie Baldwyn run the 211-acre farm, with Richard the third generation to work the land. The farm traditionally produces beef, lamb and turkey alongside a small number of arable crops used to feed and bed the stock. The farm shop opened in November 2004 to supplement farming income and sells a great variety of high quality, fresh and locally sourced seasonal food, with around 95 per cent of produce being British. There is a traditional butchery within the shop where all meat is either their own or locally sourced and cut from the carcass, with sausages and bacon produced on site. The production kitchen makes cakes, tarts, pies, pork pies, soups, quiche and ready meals. The farm also supplies its own free range eggs, dry cured bacon, burgers, seasonal fruit and vegetables, and fresh bread and pastries from an on site bakery. The Farmhouse Kitchen Café opened in March 2017 and serves a Farmer's Breakfast with produce from the butchers and free range hens, light lunches, cream teas and more, with everything prepared fresh on site. Customers can also enjoy a glass of English wine or local ales and ciders. The farm grows cherries for Pick Your Own in the summer and pumpkins for October, and offers a Farm Trail. Free range Christmas turkeys are available, either bronze or white, reared to TFTA quality standards.
