Farnborough Garden Centre OX17

Farnborough Garden Centre is a traditional garden centre on Southam Road in Farnborough, near Banbury, Oxfordshire. It grew alongside the on-site horticultural nursery in the 1960s and continues to develop with the retail gardening market. Many of the plants on sale are grown on site, including ornamental trees, semi-mature specimens, seasonal bedding plants, patio plants and vegetables. The centre stocks a wide range of trees, shrubs, conifers, climbers, perennials, roses, herbaceous plants and alpines, including less common or unusual varieties that might not be available locally elsewhere. Large open and covered display areas offer ideas for both garden and home, with garden sundries including terracotta and glazed earthenware pottery, garden ornaments, tools, chemicals, composts and plant foods. The gift and homeware area carries paintings, handbags and general giftware, with seasonal items available throughout the year, particularly at Christmas when trees, holly wreaths, door swags and planted bowls are on sale. The centre also stocks wildlife and birdcare products, aquatic plants and supplies for ponds, and a small range of garden furniture in summer. Staff draw on training, qualifications and years of experience to provide customer service. A self-service coffee and cake cafe is available on site. The centre accepts and sells national garden gift vouchers.
