About Eight Bells Inn

Eight Bells is a traditional Cotswold inn and gastropub on Church Street in the heart of Chipping Campden. Built in the 14th century to house the stonemasons who constructed St James' Church, the building later took its name from being used to store the eight bells hung in the church tower. It was rebuilt in the 17th century using much of the original stone and timber, then extended in the Georgian period into the inn that stands today. The family-owned pub features stone floors, open fires, a garden and a cobbled courtyard. Food is freshly cooked to order using seasonal, locally sourced produce where possible, with a main menu and a dedicated Sunday menu. The bar serves a range of real ales, lagers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. Eight Bells also provides six individually styled en suite guest rooms with free Wi-Fi for those wishing to stay. A children's menu is available, and the inn hosts live music and quiz nights.
